Andrea Carrizo, LCSW

Andrea Carrizo is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and dedicated mental health therapist. Andrea received her Bachelor's Degree from the University of Utah in Human Development and Family Studies with an emphasis in Early Childhood Education. She continued her time at the University of Utah where she earned her Master's of Social Work. Andrea has extensive experience working with children and teens in various capacities. She started working with children in 2010 and hasn't stopped since! 

Andrea has spent the majority of her career as a School Social Worker in multiple Utah public schools and is passionate about supporting children through their most formative years. With her background as a School Social Worker, Andrea equips children with the skills they need to thrive academically, socially, and emotionally. Her approach incorporates a range of therapeutic techniques, including Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Play Therapy, and Sand Tray Therapy tailored to each child's unique needs. She loves to utilize books, games, and creativity in the therapeutic process as well. 

During her free time, Andrea loves to read, sew, and be creative. On sunny days, you can often find her reading a book at the park!
