Amanda Wissler, LCSW
Amanda Wissler, LCSW, brings more than 25 years of experience working across mental health, education, medical, and private practice settings. At Wasatch Learning & Wellness, she works primarily with older teens and adults, helping clients better understand their strengths, process past experiences, and develop tools for meaningful growth.
Amanda spent 13 years as an emotional support counselor at Rowland Hall Middle School, where she developed a particular passion for working with adolescents. She has also worked in public schools, medical settings, behavioral health programs, and private practice, giving her a broad understanding of the systems that can impact mental health.
Amanda provides a compassionate, strengths-based approach to therapy and has experience supporting clients with trauma, neurodivergence, anxiety, mood disorders, behavioral concerns, substance use, LGBTQ+ concerns, and life transitions. Her clinical approach incorporates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Trauma-Focused CBT, behavior modification, and trauma-informed care.
Her diverse professional background allows her to support clients navigating educational challenges, medical conditions, chronic health concerns, and neurodivergence while helping them recognize their strengths and move forward with greater confidence and clarity.
Amanda earned her Master of Social Work from the University of Denver and continues to build her clinical expertise through ongoing professional development.
Outside of work, Amanda enjoys skiing, surfing, camping, paddleboarding, road trips, reading, baking, and spending time with her two dogs.
