Adoption Matters Groups

Raising children who have been adopted involves unique parenting situations, issues, and challenges. This four-week group is designed for entire families and aims to help adopted children explore their adoption story, meet other adopted children, and ultimately, develop healthy identities. Parents will also meet other families facing similar issues, engage in dialogue, and be provided training from professionals on topics related to adoption.

Youth Hiking Groups

Do you have a youth who is looking for fun things to do over the summer? The Youth Hiking Group is a great way for youth to get outdoors and engage in healthy social interaction while practicing friendship building skills. This group is designed for youth with high functioning autism spectrum disorder and similar challenges.

This group will be co-facilitated by Tracine Smoot, Licensed Psychologist, and Casey Candelaria, Behavior Coach. Tracine and Casey each love hiking and appreciate the benefits of being in the mountains. They each have years of experience working with students with all levels of ability and specialize in working with students with autism spectrum disorder as well as a broad range of other social, developmental, and learning problems.
